Every Pet Has a Story. Be part of AAPAW's inaugural Pet Ambassador class and help create more second chances for animals through the power of your pet's story. Whether your pet is a rescue, a longtime companion, or simply a beloved member of your family, their story has the power to inspire others. By sharing that story and inviting friends, family, and fellow animal lovers to support your fundraising page, you'll help strengthen animal rescue efforts throughout our community.

What Is a Pet Ambassador?

 

AAPAW Pet Ambassadors help raise awareness and support for animals by sharing their pet's story and encouraging their community to get involved.​ As an ambassador, you'll:

​

✅ Create your own fundraising page

✅ Share a favorite photo and tell your pet's story

✅ Invite friends, family, coworkers, and followers to support your campaign

✅ Help expand awareness of AAPAW and the importance of animal rescue

✅ Support programs that strengthen rescue efforts throughout our community

✅ Be recognized as part of AAPAW's inaugural Pet Ambassador class

 

No fundraising experience is required. Whether you raise $25 or $2,500, every story shared helps make a difference.

How It Works

1️⃣ Register - Sign up to become a Pet Ambassador.

2️⃣ Personalize Your Page - Add your favorite pet photo and share the story that makes your pet special.

3️⃣ Share Your Story - Invite friends, family, coworkers, and fellow animal lovers to support your page.

4️⃣ Make an Impact - Every donation helps AAPAW strengthen local animal rescue through rescue-group support, lifesaving assistance, community education, and resources for animals and the people who care for them.

5️⃣ Celebrate - Join us at Trails Fur Tails 5K on November 1, 2026, where all Pet Ambassadors will be recognized and special Ambassador Honors will be presented.

 

Ambassador Honors

 

All Pet Ambassadors will be recognized at Trails Fur Tails 5K on November 1, 2026. In addition, two special Ambassador Honors will be presented:

🐾 Top Fundraising Ambassador & 2026 AAPAW Spokespet

​

Awarded to the ambassador who raises the most support during the campaign. The winning pet will be recognized as AAPAW's 2026 Spokespet and featured on:

 

• The AAPAW website

• AAPAW social media channels

• Select AAPAW communications through the remainder of 2026

❤️ Most Inspiring Pet Story

 

Awarded to the ambassador whose story best captures the special bond between people and pets and inspires support for animals in need. The winning story will be featured on:

​

• The AAPAW website

• AAPAW social media channels

• Ambassador recognition activities at Trails Fur Tails 5K

Registration Information

 

Registration is open from August 24 through September 30, 2026, or until all 25 ambassador spots are filled. We encourage participants to register by September 10 to join our live Ambassador Orientation and get the most from the experience.

Participants who register after September 10 will receive a written orientation packet and ongoing support from AAPAW.
